A skeptic, freethinker, and perennial Devil's advocate, Gregory Hancock brings enthusiasm, leadership, creativity, technical ability, and a unique perspective to every endeavor. A professional technologist, project manager, and consultant for over a decade, Gregory is constantly working to solve problems through creative use of technology. He prides himself on his apolitical outlook and ability to bring about consensus solutions to complex, contentious issues through a level-headed demeanor and rational approach.
Beginning his post-collegiate career as a consultant with Digital Equipment Corporation (later Compaq Computer Corporation) based out of Minneapolis, Gregory's work took him from coast to coast on information technology projects for an array of large and mid-sized clients. After leaving Compaq in 2000 and relocating to Seattle, he worked in a variety of professional services capacities for Qpass, Inc., a technology provider for on-line publishers and wireless network operators. He chose to leave Qpass in 2007 to pursue personal interests after the company was acquired by Amdocs.
Gregory holds a bachelor's degree magna cum laude in philosophy and computer science from Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana, and has studied overseas at King's College in Aberdeen, Scotland and at the Universidad de Cuenca in Cuenca, Ecuador.
A native of Washington State, Gregory has spent time traveling in Siberia, Mongolia, the South American Andes, and Western Europe. Gregory and his wife Elizabeth Menozzi recently rehabilitated a 1940 bungalow in Vancouver, Washington, just across the Columbia River from Portland, Oregon, though they are presently living in the San Francisco Bay Area.
